NTT Reportedly to Take 10% Stake in Korean KTF

According to a report by the Nihon Keizai Shimbun, NTT DoCoMo plans to acquire a 10% stake in Korean KTF for US$500 million to US$600 million. The report stated that NTT and KTF plan to cooperate in several areas, including WCDMA, in which NTT is quite strong, and on roaming services for the two countries. The two companies are said to be in the final stages of negotiations, and an agreement is expected to be reached by the end of December.
